The co-founders of LifeQuality Environments (LQE) hold teaching positions at the following institutions:

College of Design and Innovation D&I, TongJi University, Shanghai, China
Division of Environmental Design, associate professors, full-time positions, typically 4 subjects per year.

  • Graduate lecture and seminar courses in ecological design and sustainability issues (60-70 students per year)
  • Individual supervision of master-by-research students (2-4 students per year)
  • Lecture course “Sustainable Design” for undergraduate students (80-100 students per year)
  • Core design studios for undergraduate students in design of built environment (environmental design) with ‘Creative Sustainability’ as semester topic (co-taught, 20-25 students)
  • Individual supervision of undergraduate thesis projects (3-4 students per year)
  • Mentor for international summer schools, workshops and continued education.

Berne University of Applied Sciences, School of Architecture, Switzerland
Professor of architecture, module leader and head of Life Quality Laboratory (LQLab) Shenzhen, BUAS’s outpost in China. Management of study location, coaching work, and development of teaching products.

  • Responsible for setting up and leading the MAS SUS DEV ARCH course (Master of Advanced Studies in Sustainable Development in Architecture) in China, a post-professional program for Chinese mid-career architects, focusing on sustainability in the built environment and requiring study time in both China and Switzerland, providing much needed expertise in the creation of future-oriented and sustainable human habitat.
